Hard Rock Cafe

This is indeed a wild card entry. Having more blogs of higher priorities in my to-do list, I skip all to reach this.

It happened on 4th of April in Pune. Venue: Hard Rock Café. Place: Koregaon Extension Park, Pune. And let me tell you, worth every penny spent and shred.

Well there were many catalysts to this incident. A much delayed visit back to Pune, a hard core rock fan, a hard core b***e fan. :-)

It all started at 6pm or something, and we were headed to Euphoria concert, but somehow I managed to convince everyone to skip the concert plan and head directly to HRC. With awesomely gigantic bouncers and minimal entry fee (along with cover charge) we all got our hands stamped.

Being at the entry there is the Rock Shop. We had a quick glance and I bought an awesomely weird fitted Green Day t-shirt and steadily moved inwards. Initially struggled our ways to find a seating place, but it was at the wee hours we decided that we made a decent decision by not seating.

And then the fun began, when spirit ran down us and chicks ran down on the floor. Sooner the entire café was full of babes and heavy rock. It was AWESOME. The bartenders showing some amazing skills at rolling fired bottles and the troupe dancing on YMCA. It flabbergasted the fun within us. Its wasn't much of time, when the more popular tracks from Metallica, Iron Maiden rose up to the public to witness the yelling crowd. With choked throats and a title for my next blog, we managed to leave the place at around 1200.

HRC was founded in London by Isaac Tigrett and Peter Morton in early 70's. It was frequently visited by Eric Clapton then, who then gifted an un-signed guitar - the first gift of over 70,000 gifts by many rock musicians, guitarists and well famed people. The collection of guitars, jackets, outfits of many great rock stars displayed all over HRC is a diamond in the eye.

It was worth an experience, and I am planning to visit more of HRC's in the coming time of my life.
